The Hyatt Student Prize 2010

During the event, the students met with the members of the jury, a team consisting of renowned television personalities and top names in the entertainment business, the arts and literature. Chaired by writer and journalist Daniel Picouly, the judges panel have named 3 finalists before selecting the final winner.

Daniel Picouly

Daniel Picouly is a French writer and television host. In 1999, he won the French literary award, the Prix Renaudot, for his book L’Enfant Leopard. Picouly is also the host of a cultural show, Café Picouly, on the French television network.

Nikos Aliagas

Nikos Aliagas is a French-Greek journalist, television and radio host. He is renowned for presenting the music reality programme Star Academy for 8 years. Aliagas speaks 5 languages, including English.

Jonathan Derai

Jonathan Derai is chief of staff to the Minister of National Education, Luc Chatel, a position he has held since March 2008. Prior to his current responsibilities, he worked for Luc Chatel when he was Secretary of State in charge of Consumption and Tourism. He has also worked for Nicolas Forissier, a member of the French National Assembly, and Dominique Bussereau, the Minister of Agriculture.

Florence Klein

Florence Klein is a journalist who works for the French television channel France 3. She presents the Hospitality Awards ceremony each year.

George Panayotis

George Panayotis is a French-Greek businessman and consultant for the hospitality industry. He is the founder and CEO of MKG Group.

Christian de La Villehuchet

Christian de La Villehuchet is CEO Euro RSCG Europe and CEO of Euro RSCG Benelux Group. In February 2009, Christian de La Villehuchet was named “Personality of the year” by the Euro RSCG network. Christian graduated from HEC, the leading management school in France, and holds a Master in Finance and Economics from Paris Dauphine University.

Isabelle Capron

Isabelle Capron graduated from HEC in 1979. Starting her career at Colgate Palmoliveas Marketing Manager, then at FCB Advertising as Account Director, before joining Lanvin as Marketing Director, she is appointed Managing Director of FCB in 1994. She is called by Fauchon in 2004, as Executive Vice President, to relaunch the mythical brand. She revitalizes the brand with a modern design, creative products which provide Fauchon a resolutely contemporary new image.

Michael John Gray

Michael Gray is an EHMA Great Britain & Ireland Councillor (European Hotel Management Association) Great Britain & Ireland Councillor. He worked for Hyatt for more than 25 years and was named 2007 “Hotelier of the Year” by Hotel Cateys in 2007.

Pierre Ferchaud

Pierre Ferchaud previously worked at the InterContinental Grand Hotel, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Concorde Hotels and, Le Bristol, where he was General Manager until the beginning of 2010. He recently took over the position of General Manager of Fouquet’s.

Gail Rosseau

Gail Rosseau is a board-certified neurosurgeon in Chicago, and the recipient of many honours and awards, including the Chicago of the Year Mentor Award. She served on the Finance committees and Women's committees for Barack Obama's senatorial and presidential campaigns. She serves on several academic, professional and philanthropic boards, including the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies Foundation, which raises funds and equipment donations for the developing world.

Brigitte Garambois

Brigitte Garambois a well known French Chief Editor, TFI journalist and handling Life Style section.
